I'm in the process of picking up another 02 1500 4x4. It's an EC short bed. I would like to put a long bed on it. Has anyone had any luck doing this swap or am I better off finding a truck with a long bed on it?

 

Seems like you would have to have the frame for a long bed truck to install a long bed.

I would love to find a new bed in Inferno Red for my '05 QC that has no signs of Dodgeitis. The interior, engine compartment and the rest of the exterior is in great shape, but over the wheelwells looks like crap. Even after one side was repaired.
