Default Transfer Case shifting into 4WD by itself

2006 Mega Cab Hemi
Truck is shifting into 4WD all by itself. Even with ignition off, I can hear the actuator motor engaging every once in a while. The other day, it actually engaged the 4WD. Service 4WD light comes on, then goes off a few minutes later, not on continually. When the 4WD engaged, there was no light on the dash as would be if I shifted into it using the ****. I currently have the connector disconnected from the Case, as I don't want to do any damage to the drivetrain. I am curious if anyone else has experienced this, and found a solution.

time for a trans axle service, they will replace all fluids in tranny and filters , transfer case and axles. in doing so they will replace the transfer case switch which is going bad, a lot of these trucks the wiring harness tends to drag on the drive shaft and eat thru the wires. my dodge did it and had the service done, around 350.00 at dealership.
