Default P0700

Alright so this will be my first post so forgive me in advance. I have code p0700 I know it's due the transmission control module but what's happening is when I go wide open throttle that's when it pops up and all I have is 2nd and 3rd gear. From what I read this is "Limp mode"?? Well after I clear the code when I'm just driving normal not trying to push it it works perfectly fine no issues what so ever truck has 95000 miles it's a 2006 1500 hemi. Need some help figuring out what's going on

Yup, sounds like limp mode. Try unhooking the negative terminal on the battery for a bit and see if that does the trick. WHY it popped that code, and what limp mode is trying to protect your truck from, I'm not sure. Have you changed the trans fluid at all lately?

0700 is just a general trans fault, there should be at least one accompanying code with it that is more specific.
