Default 11.3 mpg!

I recently purchased a 2004 dodge 1500 4.7L and am only getting 11.3 MPG. The truck runs fine and there aren't any issues to speak of so I don't know why I am getting such poor gas mileage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Details. Mileage? Tire size? Last tune up?

Are you going by the mpg display, or by dividing miles driven by gallons used (when you refuel)?

Surely there's a hundred threads dealing with this. Do a quick search.

I have one with a 5.7 and would be excited to crack 11 mpg....

I think this thread is going to remain a ghost town. TS hasn't been by since starting it...

disconnect the negative battery cable over night, computer may need a reset. upon reconnecting cable, start and stop truck 3 times, on third time let truck run for about 5 minutes, reset you trip odometer and fill up truck and see if its any better. or do the calculator method.
