Default Was gonna remove my resonator, but...

But got a Flowmaster 40 series installed instead. Yea, I know, most of us have aftermarket systems on our trucks already, but I thought I would share my excitement and opnions. First off, I went to get the resonator removed and the guy said he didn't think it would change teh sound much. So, he talked me (not very hard) into the Flow's. I chose to leave the resonator in to keep it from being too loud. Sounds great. Not too loud, but with a nice throaty tone.

Merry Christmas to me![8D]

Have a nice Thanksgiving,

Chris

Did you get the super 40 series or the reg. 40 series. I looking into redoing my exaust and I want something loud. I called flowmaster, and they suggested that I go with the super 40 on the hemi motor.

I love my Super 40. It is a lil raspy when cold IMHO, but that stops after a block or so...Then it is a ***** out sound!

I got the regular 40 series. I have heard the Super 40's on a few muscle cars and they were to loud for my daily, but they will go on my Chevelle. The super 40's are LOUD. They have a 'hollow' sound on smaller motors (<400 cid) IMO. But, its your truck so I am not trying to talk you out of them. Anything from flowmaster has a distinctive sounds that I like, so I don't think you can go wrong with anything from them.

HemiMan, I have no idea how to get a sound clip. I was actually going to start investigating how to post a video. I want to get some video of my Chevelle with the new motor and my truck with the new exhaust. But, I don't know what I need so when i figure it out I will be sure to post it here.

Black_Beast, I do like the way the Super 40's sounds...especially on a Solid Roller Big Block CHevy. That's what will be goin' on my Chevelle.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

Chris
