Question how do I deprogram the key fob?

I just got my 2008 Dodge 1500 QCLB and want to cancel the horn beep when locking the doors. The manual says hold the lock button for 6 seconds ,then push the panic button and release together. I can't get it to work. Am I doing it wrong or what?

Thanks

If that isn't doing it then your only other option is a dealer or someone with dealer software, unless you have the upgraded EVIC in your overhead console. The higher end module has that option.

Thumbs up Thanks

Ok thanks for the answer. I don't have an overhead console so I guess I'll go talk to the dealer.

If you were local I could do it for you, but you're a tad far...should only cost you an hour's labor charge (always 1 hour minimum even if it only takes 10min). If they try to charge you more than that, find another dealer (or a shop that has dealer type software).
