Humming noise when heat is turned on. Engine light is on.
Hi there
I have a dodge dart 2013 rallye. I noticed that my when I turned the heater on it started making a humming noise. My engine light is on now and when I try to start my car with the remote start it only starts for a short period of time before it disables the remote start. Winter is coming and I can not have this happening. Please help!
Thanks

Your remote start function will not work if there is a check engine light. If you need any help making an appointment at your dealership to have the CEL addressed, please let us know.
Page 29 of your Owner's Manual regarding remote start:
"NOTE:
• If an engine fault is present or fuel level is low, the vehicle will start and then shut down in 10 seconds.
• The park lamps will turn on and remain on during Remote Start mode.
• For security, power window and power sunroof operation (if equipped) are disabled when the vehicle is in the Remote Start mode.
• The engine can be started two consecutive times (two 15-minute cycles) with the RKE transmitter. However, the ignition must be cycled to the RUN position before you can repeat the start sequence for a third cycle."
