Hello, new to the forum.
Purchased an 02 ram with 4.7l vin "N". 200k miles. Head gasket blew out 2 weeks later on cylinder 1. Purchased remanufactured heads, oil pump and timing kit. Assembled and didn't run, found out wrong kit was sent, cam tone was different. Replaced tone with original and it ran but for some reason passenger side head made a lot of noise. Opened it up to find brand new chain was loose. Removed timing cover and noticed brand new tensioner was at full extension and still slop in the chain. Drivers side is just fine. Purchased another timing kit with correct cam tone and second set of tensioners installed yet there is still slop in passenger side chain and tensioner at full extension. Can't figure out why there is still slop with new timing kit only on one side of the engine. (Passenger side) Used micrometer and timing chain guides are same thickness and size across both purchased timing kits. Any help appreciated to rid me of this timing chain rattle.
