Default Radiator question

Went hunting yesterday morning, then got emissions tested and made a liquor store run. Got home and popped the hood for a general look-see. For some unknown reason, I put my hand on the radiator adjacent to the fill cap side and the fins were cold. As I progressed to the opposite side it got progressively warmer until I reached the other side, where it was hot (not too hot to touch, though).

Temps are normal. I would think this is indicative of a clogged radiator, but the radiator was replaced about 2010/2011 due to an accident so it is not original.

What do you think?

Absolutely not. Needle is just below normal.

Default It was the cap

Noticed the same issue yesterday, after servicing the coolant level slightly the day before. The side opposite the cap was hot, and as I neared the cap side it was cool to cold. I did not turn the cap but when I pushed down on it slightly, it vented coolant. It must have been venting coolant ever so slightly (no visible leaks).

Bought and installed a new cap and fully topped off radiator and tank. Ran a load of wood and the entire radiator was warm and expansion tank was full.

Cheap fix! And something pressure testing the radiator would not discover.
