2006 ram 3500 won't shift out of first

Hello all, I'm new to this and old as well lol. I have a 2006 Ram 3500 with 142,000 miles on it that will not shift out of first gear even if I red lining which I don't want to do to do any more damage to my transmission anybody have any ideas I'd appreciate some input
