please recommend good body shop
Hi everyone,
A racer on the highway lost control and crushed the front of my 05 ram. The hood, headlights, front bumper, left and right fenders are all totalled, with probably more damage.
Today I called my insurance company and they suggested some body shops, but they declined to mention whether said body shops use OEM parts of "of like quality".
I am looking for recommendations for a good body shop in the west los angeles, CA area. If anyone can help, I really appreciate it.
Thank you very much,
neojin

Even the best body shops buy the cheapest parts they can. I used to work at the best shop around and that is what they did. We painted customs, show cars and had body work come in from 100 miles away.
However, it is there job to make the job look as the vehicle was before the accident. We used cheap parts and you couldn't tell the difference when the final product rolled out the door. Cheap tins aren't as bad as everyone thinks they are. No mater how good the fender, panel.... it is up to the bodyman to make it look good. A bad shop can make a good tin look like hell.
You would have to request the shop to use OEM parts or go to a dealership to get Dodge parts.
