2009 Dodge Ram 2500 truck with 86,000 miles. I have had this truck since 34,000 miles and it has always ridden a little rough. At 40,000 miles I had the right ball joint replaced as a factory recall. Then at 56,000 ended up having both ball joints replaced at the time of tire replacement. Now the right ball joint is bad and needs replacing and my mechanic is saying the control arms need replacing, too. Is anyone else having chronic ball joint issues with this model/year truck?

 

Dodge 3/4 tons eat front end components. My Mega Cab has had everything replaced 3-4 times over in 250,000 miles. So, yes quite normal.
