2005 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab. Indicator light on dash will show if any door is ajar but the dome light and courtesy lights have never worked. Manual Switched overhead map lights work fine,Any idea on where to start looking for problem? Maybe since the dash headlight switch has settings which affect how the interior lights behave this could be the problem?

 

Just solved this one on my 06 Durango. left side connector at back of instrument panel had the Yellow/red wire pin damaged/corroded(actually arc burned). I cleaned it, bent the inside "tongue" to apply more pressure to the mating pin and dielectric greased it. All fixed
