Default Recalibrating (relearn) the Throttle body.

Hi.
I saw on YouTube, that your "Throttle-body" can be "calibrated" (relearn).I have a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup; model: 1500; SLT; 4x4; 5.7L Hemi.
Vin # is: 1D7HU16D95J517196.
Can this be done on my truck or is this only applicable for "newer" models ??
Rgds.

Not required unless you unplugged or changed TB's. Then one has to be done, all 5.7's have ETC.

Hi HemiLonestar.
I'm new to this website.
Did you respond to me ?? If so, Th'x for the quick response.
I did "upgrade" my stock Throttle-body some time ago, for a Performance 85MM ported Throttle body.
It works fine, but I never did a "relearn". YouTube showed me a video, that it can bo done.
So , I will follow your advice and do it right away.
For the "relearn" process,do I have to press the "gas-pedal" all the way down and hold this down for +/- 20 sec's, with the ignition-key to the ON position ??

Are you experiencing issues? You installed it “some time ago”, what makes you think after all this time you need to perform this procedure?

Hi JKeaton.
Th'x for your reply.
Here's my story. Some time ago I did some "upgrades", like: replacing my stock "Intake" to the: K & N Performance Intake, together with a new: 85MM Performance Throttle-body.
In my eyes, it's working fine, but recently, I saw on YouTube, a video, that your Throttle-body can be "calibrated" (Relearn).
According to this video, these are the "steps" (for the "Relearn" process):
--> press the "gas-pedal" all the way down and hold this down for +/- 20 sec's, with the ignition-key to the ON position.
Is this the right way to do this JKeaton ?? RGDS
p.s. I have a 2005 Dodge RAM; 5.7L Hemi.
