hemi swap

Default hemi swap

hey there i have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with a 4.7 and auto tranny i just picked up a 2004 dodge ram 1500 slt with a 5.7 hemi and auto tranny and would like to take tranny and motor out of the 04 with the hemi and put it in the 04 problem is the 04 hemi has remote lock and start but the truck did not have a key with it wen i bought it so my question being can i use the existing column and wire harrness thats in the cab of my 04 and just use the motor, tranny, and engine harness out of the 04 hemi or do i need other parts off the 04 aswell?

the help is really appreciated

Here we go again....
Check your donor truck again, hemi was not available until mid year 03. If you actually have an 02 with a hemi in it then it was installed and is not factory, which means that harness has been royally screwed with. You can't just drop a 5.7 in place of a 4.7 and everything magically works.

Yes sorry they are both 2004 trucks.
