I have a 2003 Dodge 1500 4x4 quad cab. Had the front driver side speed sensor replaced and now every time I hit the accel/resume button, cancel button or the coast button the cruise control turns off and will not come back on unless the truck is shut off and back on again.

 

I have the same truck and exact same issue. Its been doing it for years. I always thought it to be an issue with the computer software and never looked into it. I dont believe it will be related to the speed sensor. Following this thread to see what others have to say.
