Default Is it a miss, or an electrical gremlin?

2005 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7 litre 4X4 short bed 123k miles

Backstory, there are times when I am going thru town, at around 40 mph and the truck is in high gear, it bucks, sometimes really bad, it has given me the code for the camshaft position sensor on more than one occasion.

I replaced that once, and no issues, but now it is back but acting even weirder, well anyway, I get a 'LAMP OUT" notification, it then goes out, might stay on for 2 days, not see it for a week, but when the light is going on and off while driving down the road at around 40 mph with truck in high gear, it will start to buck, if I let off the gas, it may or may not continue to buck. When I say but it is like the motor just stops but immediately runs again. If that makes sense. I am guessing it is an electrical gremlin. Last week the engine light came on and it gave me the camshaft sensor code, I cleared the code and decided to wait a day before buying another sensor, and it has not come back..

Thank goodness they are not that hard to get to nor not impossible to change, but I have no clue where to look to find this gremlin, when the "LAMP OUT" light is not acting up, truck seems fine.

Anyone else out there seen this? Really liking this truck and do not want to find another one. And certainly do NOT want to be left stranded on the road.

Thanks

Richard
