2004 5.7 hemi has a occasional rough idle since 20000 mile, now at 33000 miles several stays in 2 different dealers, no help,, was told it was a problem the service reps are aware of but do not have a fix for... the problem is happening more often as the miles increase... and warranty is running out in favor of Dodges .. anybody else have this problem ????

 

Check your wires and change your plugs.

 

I second that. The Champion plugs that come in these trucks seem to wear very quick. I just changed them in my 4.7 Jeep GC at 26K for rough idle problems, and they were worn so much the gap was 2x what is should have been. New plugs cured the rough idle. I'm starting to notice a slight rougher idle in my truck at 28K and am pretty sure the plugs will take care of it.
