I own a 2002 Ram 1500 SLT QC 4X4 with 80k miles.
The engine was rebuilt at 78k and has run great since. but I am looking for more power
I currently have on it Superchips F5, Intake Scoop, Airram Power Wire, AND Swapped my TCM with an '02 GC TCM.
after the swap of TCM my mpg shot up especially on highway averaging 22mpg. 2000rpms at 85mph (looking to get 4.10s eventually to even this out)
I am looking for more power and plan to port my Throttle Body to 72mm, want to put a intake manifold on (why I'm wondering about the swap) and then an exhaust kit.
I have tried to few Ram Truck forums but no one has ever taken the 07 and placed it on 02. but the reason I want to use the '07 intake manifold over the popular 08 intake manifold it requires an adapter that cost 400, and the 08 intake cost more itself. The money is not worth the power to me.
I've found 07 intake manifolds that have 3 bolt pattern but was wondering about all the technical stuff, will I need to change ECM and harness? Anything that might cause a hangup?
