Wouldn't come out of 4wd
My truck a 03 ram 1500 hemi 4x4 got stuck in 4wd hi the other day.I was using 4wd in the rain and when I moved the lever back to 2wd the light went off for 4wd but it was still stuck in 4 wheel drive.I had to drive about 10 minutes before it would come out of 4wd even though I moved the shift lever and it said it was out of 4 wheel drive it wasn't.Would could be the issue??

Look underneath where the shifter linkage connects to the transfer case linkage. It is a assy connected by two hard rubber bushings. They tend to decompose and/or fall out, so while you can move the shifter it may only partially move the t-case linkage (or not at all). If you replace them, I'd replace the t-case switch as well and be done with it.
