Just wondering if a 2003 fuel tank will work on. my 2004 ram 1500 fuel tank The locking tab's have rusted off & i can't get the lock ring to lock. Seem's like 03's are more abundant & cheaper in my area
Yes, though you may have variations with emissions control connections. Same size tank will bolt up, if it's a bigger (or smaller) tank one of the mounting straps will be different.

Take a peek at what you have and see what some of the possible replacements have; compare part numbers also, I'm reasonably certain they used same tanks across years.
