Default Needing some help/opinions

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Quad Cab. 5.7 litre HEMI. I have to replace the engine so I bought one through a reputable seller. Suppose to have 145,000 km on the engine. I used a scope and looked at top of pistons which look great. The block has rust which I am sure is normal with KM,s. The issue I have is I did a compression test and I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!!!!!!!! The results range from 77.8psi-90.0 psi. {see why I am not happy} I do know how to do work on vehicle. Meaning I know how to do the test. LOL. I hope anyway. I have no idea about the engine other than is was brought from US to Ontario Canada and mileage was conversated to KMs. I was surprised that these engines aren't as plentiful as I thought they might have been. I looked at outside of the engine very carefully and all appears good. My question is {finally} do I need to do something to the engine to get a proper test or am I SOL and the engine is a $3200.00 boat anchor? Thanks to all and any.

Have you contacted the seller? That should be your first avenue of attack.
