Truxedo Truxport
Has anyone got a Truxedo Truxport bed cover??
I am thinking of getting one but wondered if anyone has any experience of them before i take the plunge... It seems to do what i want IE. Over the rail, easy to roll up, reasonbly priced.
I did a search but didn't even come up with a single hit!
Cheers,
Richard.

I've got a Truxedo LoProfile and am very happy with it. If you go on Truxedo's web site, they have a comparison between the two, just click on the bottom of the Truxport info page. The main differences are the the Truxport has a 5 year warranty, the LoProfile has lifetime (including the fabric) and that the Truxport goes over fhe bedrail--the LoProfile fits inside it. It has a llttle lighter weight fabric and only comes in black--the LoProfile comes in colors. The Truxport is about $180 or so less.
Alot of the other features that I like are the same--locking rear bar, roll up cross members, adjustable tension (the LoProfile has a constant tension spring--looks like the Truxport has direct tension).
Sorry I can't give you any first hand experience on the Truxport. I know from what I've seen on mine, Truxedo makes a very good product. I liked the inside the rails and lifetime warranty. If you're tight on $$ or just like the over the rails, you should be fine. Shop around for price. I got mine at truckxpressions.com. They're a site sponsor, and had the best price when I got mine & had no problems.
A side note if you don't want black, you can get vinyl paint at any automotive paint store. Not cheap at about $80/qt, but I had some mixed up to match my truck color (give them your paint codes and they can do an exact match). Shot it with an HVLP gun and worked well. Pretty sweet looking.
Good luck.
