Electrical Gremlins
Hi all, been a while since I have been on, but I am looking for some help.
So I am having some electrical issues and I am starting to eyeball my IPM or FCM (I think that's what its called in the 3rd Gen).
For a while now (weeks), my wipers have been haywire.
I turn them onto intermittent and the passes are not "regular".
I press the spray/mist button and sometimes I get one swipe, or three swipes, and the blades don't always park
Today I am driving to work (no rain), I hit a decent bump, and the wipers just come on and give me one swipe, then park (switch was off).
Then as of a couple days ago, my power windows are intermittent now as well. They will work one time, then not another. The internal door lock switch (integral to the master window control panel) still works though, so its getting power. However...
My Viper key FOB doesn't always unlock the doors. They will always lock with the FOB, but for a couple days-on-end, my FOB will not unlock the doors (the internal door switch performs perfectly)
So my questions are 1) do all of these functions go through the FCM? 2) Or is this more likely one of the much "read-about" IPM corrosion issues? I have been trying to locate a wiring diagram to look at but am at work and not finding anything. (PS, I live in VA now near the coast)
Thanks!
