Default 04 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9liter quit while driving down the road

l was driving down the backroad at 45mph towing my horse trailer with two horses and all of a sudden I noticed I lost power when I pushed down on my accelerator. I removed my foot off the accelerator and my truck died. I tried to restart it, but it would turn over without firing. I was towed to a friends house where we cleaned the air filter and checked for codes. There was no codes shown. We dumped the system and cleaned the battery posts. After this my truck started again and ran ok. However while in accessory mode there is a clicking noise coming from under the hood. I haven't noticed this noise before. When I turn the engine on the clicking goes away. My truck seems to be running ok for now but I'm afraid that it could die on me again. I'm baffled at the clicking noise and think it could be something to do with the truck dying... Any ideas or suggestions of what could be going on would be much appreciated.

My first guess would be your lift pump died i would guess the clicking is the lift pump early 04 would be drivers side of block rear of the ECM, below filter housing, may also possibly be the vacuum pump (behind passenger battery)
