Default New Gears for my 6" lift?

I have recently lifted my '03 1500 4x4 with a 6" Fabtech suspension lift with rear leaf springs from Skyjacker. I still have the stock 392 gears but feel I need to upgrade. I have noticed a lag when going through the mountains from Arizona to San Diego. I'm pretty green when it comes to gears and such I was just wondering if there was anyone with some good suggestions for the gears I should go with. I am running 35s on 17"s. The majority of my play area encompasses sand and minimal mud with the occasional rock. Any and all help is truly appreciated.

Thanks

Switz

There is a conversion tool, I believe at www.4wheelparts.com that should give you the right gear for the diffence in tire size. I am guessing it will be around a 4:56, because I dont think a 4:11 will be enough to get the RPMs back in range.

4.56 is a huge jump. I'm going to check out that conversion also. Planning on doing 35's soon myself.

You won't go wrong with 4.56s, even if it's too big of a jump it will give you a hell of a boost down low.

Don't forget that you've got to switch ratios front and back on a 4x4.
