What is the inlet/outlet size and configuration of your existing muffler? That’s what you need.

The 5.7 hemi stock is 350-400 hp. The truck stock exhaust should be a 3" single. If you are replacing/upgrading - Go 3" or bigger. Definitely not smaller, unless you are going duals. For duals, minimum 2.5" per side, and a complete separate system for each side.
I have a single 3" in/out x 18" long MagnaFlow. Cut out the oem muffler, put the Magnaflow in its place with an extension pipe. All the rest of the system is stock, 3". Simple to do. Love it on the 5.7. Sometimes, though rarely, wishing that I would have gone a full 3.5" system.

...IMHO
