Differential bearing caps

So I’m pretty sure the retainer clip for the clutch pack in the diff broke off and grinded a layer of metal off the carrier bearing caps, it looks like it will be ok to use for now but i just want a second opinion. Do you guys think it will be ok ?

I can confirm that is exactly what happened. I'd put it together as is, and search for a replacement housing.
