Default Loose ball joints

Has anyone had problems with the ball joints just sliding in and out of the axle housing? I am working on an '06 3500 4x4.

you need oversized ball joints. you can only press in new ball joints so many times until the bore is to big. you can source them at any parts store.

Supposedly, sometimes people will put a spline joint in there as a replacement and take away the factory taper. You may be able to get another spline unit to fit tight, or you could talk to a big rig shop and have them cut it out bigger and sleeve it. I haven't dealt with that problem directly...
