2005 Ram 1500 4.7. Replaced one head, cam, temp sensor, cam & crank positioning sensors, sprockets, timing chains etc. Engine starts and jumps to 3500+ rpm. Have only let run for 10 seconds for fear of damage. Thoughts?

Have you replaced the throttle position sensor yet? They're not too expensive. Usually they're under $50.

We are looking at that and the idle air control valve. Unfortunately the symptoms of those going bad (rough and or erratic idle) do not match what is happening.

Maybe you can try those 2 things out with new parts, and if they don't fit you could return them. Do you have an OBDII scanner?
Most auto parts stores will not take back electronic components. Replaced positioning sensor and control valve. Not much change. Going after manifold sensor next. Only code showing up is from the intake air temp sensor.
