My 04 2500 was first used by the AZ fish and game commission. So at one time it had a spot light (and a hole to support it) on that driver pillar. The gasket was ripped from the door being maladjusted and the hole was overfull of black butyl sealer. I hit the jyard, and found a good 02 two door donor and pulled both sides. But on my way through the yard, I stopped by a 07 two door - and found that they had made quite a few alterations to those seals. I pulled the 07, tried them on the 02 donor - good to go...

I just installed them on my truck, they match up fine. I can't say they're better, because the originals were a mess, but they look like they should work better. If you want to upgrade, you'll need the rubber gasket and the plastic adapter it attaches to.

 

Nice to see they up dated the door seals. They are both torn on my 05, have been since I bought it 5 years ago. Corner of the door eats them up. Wonder if they changed in 06 with the front clip and tail lights??

That is cool, I did notice the lower seal was different - but figured I would not have the holes it required... and sure enough, it says drill a hole.
