Default Cruise control issues

Hi there! Firstly, this is my first post here, so I apologize if it's in the wrong section.

2007 Ram 1500 4.7L 4x4 Crew Cab. Got the truck less than a month ago, and haven't been able to get Cruise Control to work since I got it. If I press the Cruise On/Off button, the Cruise dash light illuminates, but attempting to actually set a cruise speed does nothing. If I press the Cruise On/Off button a second time, the dash light goes off, but any subsequent attempts to turn Cruise on with the On/Off button results in the dash light flashing once and staying off. This happens consistently, restarting the cycle each time the key is turned off then back on, and I've tried at several different MPH speeds.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!

First thing to check is the small vacuum line that runs to the solenoid, located under your battery box on the left side. Ninety five percent of the time this hose is broken or cracked and is causing your no work issues. You know the electrical is good as the on light comes on when you first turn the cruise on. If the vac line doesn't fix it, post again and I will try to help with the next steps.
