Default 08 convenience and headlight light problem

The truck is an 08 Laramie 2500 CTD. The issues started after I had to pull the dash off for the HVAC. The problem started with the interior/convenience lights not coming on with the door open. And now the headlights turn on with the key on and won't turn off if the key is turned.
I had found a loose connection on the back of the gauge cluster and the headlight problem started after I plugged it back in. After I plugged it back in all the way, there were no indicator lights and fuel gauge , turn signals, and wipers didn't work. I replaced the gauge cluster today which fixed all the other issues, except the headlights and interior lights.
The strange thing is now the interior lights will turn on after a minute with the door open.
I reinstalled the tune today also and while that was working, when the radio say's "NO BUS" the headlights went out and the interior worked as it should.
Symptoms:
Headlights on at all times with key on/turn off when key is off
convenience lights are intermittent
I have tried:
Replaced all fuses
replaced gauge cluster
new light switch
re-checked all connectors and grounds
Does anyone have any idea where to go with this? Short of going to the dealer.
