Default 2008 Ram 1500 Door Handle Install

I bought OEM replacement door handles for my single cab. I watched a how-to video from 1A Auto on youtube. I started with my passenger side, took off the window ****, panel, and weather coating. But there is not a clear area to take off the nuts, or the clips from the rods. I can see a full side view only, but there is not enough room to stick my hand back there to do anything. Anyone know what to do here?

Is there any round holes on the interior door frame where you would use a ratchet, extension and socket to access the door handle retaining nuts?

Nope. There is a metal post lookin piece blocking it, no round holes for access. All I can see of any of it is an open area to the left of it. And right in front of it, is that metal piece

Sorry havent had an 08 apart. Everything I have worked on had access holes to use a socket and extension. I believe that metal part your talking about is the track for the window. Maybe that needs to be moved out of the way? somebody on the assembly line probably had seconds to put that door handle on....its gotta come off some how...all I can say...to help you out.

swivel adapter for socket should work or a small wrench ,,perhaps a straight forward picture will help with advice , also you could drill holes to use a socket perhaps , since it will be covered with door panel anyways , the rods just have clips that push over so rod can pull out , and since the door panel will cover the area , you could cut an access hole ,,, heck if your careful cut a big square hole for access ,,can tack weld it back or just let door panel cover it when reinstalled
