Default Adjusting my torsion bers

Im considering adjusting my torsion bars on my 03 1500 4x4. If i do this can I get 35s under it without the tires getting in a bind? And will it trash my running gear? I know the sport modle that I have has a small lift from the factory, but im trying to save a little cash for other upgrades. Any help would be appr.

What kind of factory lift does your Sport model have?

I haven't seen any bad reports on turning the bars yet. I turned my two turns to gain just over an inch. I had my alignment checked and it was fine. The ride might be slightly stiffer.

I am planning on going another inch and running 35's on 17 inch rims after the winter.

First the factory does not install any lift kits on 2003 sport 4x4 Rams, which I also have. Now some dealers have installed lift kits so if you think you really have one I would visit the dealer to see for sure. If you don't just crank your torsion bars 4 or 5 turns each, which I have done myself, and this will give you approx. 1 and a half inch's of lift in the front. Leaving plenty of room for 33" tires, and if you really want 35" tires I would wait and get a suspension lift, cause without it I've heard they will rub on full turn or if doing moderate off roading

on my 2002, for every full turn, I got approx .5 inch lift. I went with three turns and am at 1.5" of lift in the front. I am running 325/50/22 Nitto Terra Grapplers. These tires measure approx. 34.8" in diameter and 13" wide. I have no trouble with them at all. Everything is very close though, so I might go up 1 more turn (to get me to about 2" of total lift). I do not do hardly any off-roading though and can't say how it would be doing so......
