Default Lifetime oil filter?????

I have found there are a few different vendors using stainless steel cloth in their lifetime oil filters. Is there anyone here who has used any of these product? http://www.trufilter.com/contact.htm

I've seen them, however, I'm hesitant to use them. If anything, it is just one more thing to clean.

On the other hand, it would be less mess in the county landfill and I'd be able to see what is in the filter.

They claim better filtration because there is no bypass. And the mesh flows more oil.

I use dual System 1's in some of my hipo toys (cleanable stainless mesh). Apart from excellent filtration, they are particularly good because one opens them up when cleaning (changing oil) so that things not supposed to be in the oil, like bearing flakes, etc. can be easily detected. Much less messing about than cutting open regular canister filters--even with the special tool for doing so.

I use duals to ensure no significant pressure drop.

Have not heard anything on that score. Myself, I would not trust it. Prefer the old way, and knowing I've got a fresh filter on.
