I'm looking for some advice on what to do with the exhaust system on my truck. He's a 2006 1500 quad cab SLT with the 4.7L V8 engine. The manifolds are leaking and the muffler and pipes are full of holes caused by rust. So, my question is...What do I replace it with? I want to keep that deep, throaty sound I got with old exhaust which was a split dual I put on years ago. Should I stick with a manifold or go for headers? Also, my truck just hit 200k miles and my goal is to keep him going for as long as I can. Thanks!
