Have an 04 ram 2500 Cummins crew cab short bed. Box is rusty, inner outer rockers and cab corners all shot. Truck is in excellent shape otherwise, fame is clean and only 100k. Found a clean 07 half ton for much less than rust repair. I would like to swap cab and box. I realize I will have to swap steering column, dash and wiring harnesses. Anyone have any advice as to weather the 04 dash will bolt up? Any other things I will fight?

 

Bolt up yes, the cab structure itself is the same. Don't forget HVAC (if necessary). You may run into model year variations but shouldn't be anything too painful.
