Rebuilt 4.7 issues
Ok so I have a 2002 ram 1500 4.7 rwd
186,000 rebuilt the motor at 182,000
So I'm going to list the issues
On start up definitely ticking like lifters are needing replaced I'm hoping anyways as the heads are from pull a part and I had them machined.
rough start occasionally and random misfire but no mil light only codes in PCM when checked with my scanner. Smoke from exhaust on start up with strong fuel smell. I'd had a issue with cheap injectors not closing and getting lots of white smoke so I got some from pull a part for now.
Horrible fuel economy 8 in town 15 hwy.
So I did a no no and got a TPS, IAC, camshaft sensor from eBay along with injectors already got rid of the injectors but I've had issues with eBay sensors before but I was low on funds.
New fuel pump, exhaust manifolds
The block was completely rebuilt by me from the crank up replaced the PCM with one from pull a part
swapped the tone rings to match the PCM flashed it all good there.
Everything on the motor is new besides the following, fuel injectors, heads, lifters, ac compressor, alternator,
so I'm ordering lifters and plan to replace them all hopefully the ticking will be fixed as it was only on start up but now it's noticable at all speeds especially on accelerating.
So here's what I plan to order could use advice on what the best for fuel economy.
Cold air intake as it has a knock off on it now made of PVC and not setting in a position to get good air flow
Fuel injectors I've heard our trucks don't like Bosch injectors. I'm hoping to buy reman injectors like simmens or standard motor as it's 150 cheaper. It has 2 hole injectors right now but I'm wanting 4 hole as I'm certain the fuel injectors are crap.

I also plan to replace the entire front end suspension and steering components as it's beyond time but I want to know I don't have major issues with the motor before I drop 500 on those parts.
