idle issues after engine rebuild
1st timer here and I have a real doozy that we can not figure out. 2004 dodge ram 2500 HD 5.7 4x4. complete motor rebuild, new throttle body and new computer & power distribution, only non stock addition is a competition cam which is designed to operate within the guidelines of the factory specs. It starts up fine, runs great but idle “hunts” between 400 & 500 rpm. My truck came factory without an EGR, my scanner pulls 2 codes for the EGR and 2 codes on O2 sensors O2s 2/1 & 1/2, both are being replaced. I checked vacuum hoses, tested the APPS - it’s working properly, I’m at a complete loss. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank You
I was in the same boat,I pulled my engine rebuilt it put it back togather it would start and run rough,it was my crank position sensor.i got a new one from Napa still no good got it from the dealer and it runs,
