The 2006 Hemi converted from plug wires to coil packs in mid-year. A 2006 Hemi could have one or the other.
If you have the long spark plug wires, then you should check for resistance. Minimum resistance is 3000 ohms per foot, max resistance is 12,000 ohms per foot.
If you have the coil packs, I recommend that you disconnect the harness to the coil pack before pulling the coil pack off of the plug. That may be what the mechanic is talking about when he talks about breaking wires.

Dude, you have no idea how ridiculous I thought I was for not understanding the wiring situation. My Charger and Ram have coil packs. So if that's the case, I only need to replace the plugs themselves?

Yep, just the plugs. Have fun with #8 by the brake booster.

Unless Chrysler changed their cylinder numbering protocol or there's a Furd engine in there, #7 is by the booster.
