Default MDS disable?

My buddy just got the bad news that his 14 Hemi is pooched do to a bad camshaft, after doing a bit of research I see that this is a common hemi problem. I have a 18 Ram with a hemi, would it be advisable to disable the MDS to get around this problem? My truck is still on warranty so I would wait for another year to disable, what are the options for disabling the MDS.

To my knowledge disabling the mds will not help prevent the cam/ lifter failure. A good quality tuner would be required to disable mds.
Have a look in the 4th Gen forum for a video to ponder.....

From what I have gathered, the only way to “disable” MDS is to do a physical delete. New cam, solenoid plugs, tuner, lifters. This will HELP to try and prevent the lifter/cam failure, but may not be guaranteed.

A tuner will disable the MDS but will not prevent the physical failure due to it being a failure between the lifters and cam.

The bearings in the lifters fail and the roller part no longer rolls on the cam, but starts to grind into it.

Again, this is what I have found and may not be 100% correct.
