I *think* the 3.7L comes with the 42RLE transmission. I would search for torque and power ratings of that transmission and compare to the output of the 4.7L. My assumption is you will want the 45RFE transmission to handle the 4.7L output for long term durability. But there are other aspects to consider as well which I don't know the answers to, like if the 4.7L will bolt to the 42RLE or if you will need a transmission adapter. Does the same computer control the engine and the transmission? That could be a significant hurdle as well if you try to mix and match engine and trans. Maybe someone else here knows better than I do and can chime in.

You'd have to, 4.7 PCM won't run a 42RLE. Also the RLE won't hold the 4.7's torque; there's a reason it was never offered with it. So if you swap to a 4.7, you have to swap the RFE with it.
