octane boosters

Default octane boosters

my hemi has 12,000 miles on it...would it hurt at all to add any type of octane booster? or would it bebefit it? i saw some octane booster at pep boys that said it was not street legal...is that bad?

Waste of money, just put in the recommended octane at the pump, which for the Hemi the reommended is 89, but also says it will be "OK" with 87.

Now, if you reprogram your computer or add a Jet Module then you do need to boost a little, but that is why they make premium gas.

thanks guys...since 10 points octane is equiv. to 1 octane number it didnt sound too great to me anyhow...thanks for the advice
