Default Overheating issue

So my 2006 ram 1500 5.7 mega cab starts to get pretty warm when pulling hills with a trailer and when your driving in town and give it too much throttle. Antifreeze is full. No overheating at idle. It starts to cool down once you drive it super easy. I read from a thread that was from 2011 that people were saying to hollow out the cats and see what happens. Im a mechanic myself and i can understand how it could heat up if the cats are getting plugged. Just wondering what other people's thoughts are. I wont hollow the cats out but i would replace them if people give good feedback.

It seems to be. Fan clutch seems to be operating fine as well. And sometime when your giving it throttle it actually starts to slowly slow down and when you start to let out of the throttle it slowly speeds back up. I think it might actually have something to do with the converter's.

Could be that your operating conditions are exceeding the limits of your cooling system. A coolant surface friction reducer may help your truck. Also, turning your cab heating to high/max fan will help if you are unable to pull over.
