Default Tuner questions

I just got a new to me 07 1500 5.7
I know very little about tuners, never owned or used one in a truck.
Here is what I want from it:
MDS disable, firmer shifting.
Will a tuner do this?
Thanks

I'm not sure as to what tuner(s) can disable MDS, but most tuners can help with shifting in addition to HP and Torque. I had the Superchips Cortex 3950 on my truck before I sold it and it really made it feel more powerful. The transmission also felt a lot better after loading up the tune.

If that's all you wanna do, get a Superchips. You can mess around with the trans tuning. If at any point you want to cam it, etc then you need a Diablo.

Looking at the I3 #8300
Or Predator 2 #7302
I want to disable the MDS and change shift points and firm up the shifting.
Do you leave these plugged in or set the tune and then unplug them?

Anyone here run either of them?
Thoughts?
