Default 46re Removal from 5.9 Magnum in 3rd Gen Ram 1500

Hello,
This is my first time removing a trans from my truck. I've gotten the transfer case off and out but I am having difficulty getting the trans out. Do I need to remove the torque converter bolts? If so, how do I get access to them? I have gotten the starter off but the thin plate on the bell housing won't come free. Any advice will help. Thanks in advance.

Yes.....please tell me you haven't been prying on the trans housing trying to separate them while the TC bolts are still in place....
There's a piece that should be bolted to the shield you can remove to access the TC bolts.
