Default PCM Swap to access trans tuning/make tuner work?

Looking for advice here I guess at this point....
a 2005 545RFE trans cannot be tuned. Jay can't do it, Hemifever can't do it, HPTuners can't do it, Diablo/SC/Edge can't do it, SCT can't do it.

My old model Flashpaq 3865 CAN do it, but it doesn't work with my truck since my truck apparently has newer software than my Flashpaq works with and needs a calibration file for my vehicle that I can't get.

So I'm thinking that I MIGHT be able to swap in another 2005 PCM with maybe earlier software and maybe my Flashpaq will work.
Maybe I could swap in a 2004 PCM that I KNOW my tuner works on (it worked on my previous 04 1500) and get my tuner to work.

First of all, does anyone have any thoughts on swapping the PCM for this purpose? Would it work? are there differences in programming between a 1500/2500 of the same year (2005)?
Are there differences between an 04 and 05 that would prevent it from working, could I swap an 04 PCM into my 05?

Secondly, what are peoples thoughts on using two tuners? If I could get my Flashpaq to work I could use it for the trans tuning, and then use a second tuner like HPT for everything else.
Is it possible to use two tuners? what would be the process for keeping a copy of my stock tune in this case?

Back in the early days, guys with 04+ would install the Superchips trans tuning, then install their custom diablo tune. Twas called "stacking". Had to do it in that order because Superchips won't load if it isn't factory tuning, whereas the Diablo didn't care what was in there already. Custom tune file was strictly for engine so it didn't mess with the trans tuning.

That's one positive answer, thanks for the info man.

now if I could just figure out if I can swap a PCM to make my tuner work I'd be golden....but the only way Id know is if someone with the exact same config that I have has done it before and posted about it, or if I do it myself and post about it lol.
