I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 Diesel 3500. Our local audio repair shop tells me I need a new amplifier. My truck has the Infinity sound system.

The only speaker that emits any sound is the center dash tweeter (I think it is a tweeter). The other speakers do not work. They had been working intermittently, seemingly at their discretion. Now they are not working at all.

Do I need a new amplifier? Is there a tutorial or directions I can access to determine if this is a job I want to tackle?

I am guessing this is going to be a PITA to replace. Please feel free to provide any guidance.

My amp went out in my 1500 and I chose to bypass the amp vice replace it. Mine was located above the glove box. Take out the glove box and look up, that square light gray thing is your amp.
