Default Nv3500 02 ram changing clutch hydraulic assembly as preventative maintenance

02 ram nv3500 almost 200000 miles 4.7 stock slave and master cylinder, should I change them out as preventative maintenance or just ride it until they die? And also I know my Haynes manual says the system does not have a bleeder and much be purchased as an entire assembly, but no part store sells it like that they only sells the individual parts, in that case would they come with a bleeder? If not how do I bleed it.

I can get a pre bled system from rock auto an AMS kit but I’ve heard not so good things about that brand so I’m not sure where to go from here, it’s doing fine at the moment but when I changed the clutch I realized that the slave was the stock unit

If your truck still runs really good, then I see no point with that mileage. At this point just keep doing the same things you've done to reach 200k miles, and ride it out until the time comes to do repairs. You're not having an issues with your clutch or anything right?

Like the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix. You foresee issues with finding a suitable replacement and bleeding it, so don't put yourself in that predicament unless absolutely necessary. Just research the part, just in case.

If you do replace it get the whole preblead assembly. You can find them on Rock Auto and several other places.

I’ve actually only owned the truck for about the last 4,000 miles, and no the clutch itself is new the pilot throwout bearing pressure plate and pilot bearing I put in maybe 2,000 miles ago, sometimes I get paranoid and think the clutch pedal “feels weird” but honestly I’m almost sure that’s in my head I’m always waiting for something to go wrong, which comes in handy when your alt suddenly goes out and you see the gauge and have time to pull over lol. But I was just unsure if something like that should be done every so often or not as I’ve never owned a manual before. Thank you
